What is Theatre On Ice?
Theatre on Ice (TOI) also known as Production Numbers, is a form of competitive figure skating that is popular in Europe, where it is known as Ballet on Ice. It combines the grace of figure skating with the excitement of theater and dance. Teams consist of between eight and 30 skaters. Solo skating is discouraged, but is permitted in limited amounts if it enhances the overall telling of the program's story. Some of the benefits are:

TheTheatre On Ice is a great way to encourage skaters to participate as a team in a sport that is often individual.
In our first season of Theatre On Ice our “Spytacular” Production was incredibly successful. Our Spytacular Routine incorporated music and costuming from Pink Panther, Inspector Gadget, James Bond and Austin Powers. We performed at Holiday Shows in Charlottesville and here at home. We also competed in Piney Orchard and Fairfax achieving first place finishes both times. In June we placed first at Virginia state games.

In 2006 we had an incredibly successful season with our Spooktacular Theatre. This year we are skating to Masquareade, I put a spell on you, and Thriller. We received a 5, 1st place finishes including a first place finish at the World Championships in Boston Mass.
